Why Jews Wouldn’t Want Jesus by Paul C Moore
Many people have wondered why the Jewish people have not accepted Jesus as their L-rd and Saviour. Could it be that they have continued to be a stiff necked people, as that was how God described them? Are they lost in their Old Testament studies of the Torah and the Tanakh? Why don’t they want to study the New Testament? Is it because Paul (His Hebrew name is Sha’ul) talked about the veil that is over the understanding of the Jewish people. That they can’t comprehend what Jesus did for them as the final sacrifice.
Well, if I were a Jew, I wouldn’t touch the Jesus of Christianity with a ten foot pole. I would be absolutely crazy to do so. Why? Because the Jesus of Christianity is an imposter. According to Christians he taught that the Torah was nailed to the cross, and is of no effect today. He taught that it was acceptable to eat from a pig’s body, to eat shellfish, rabbits, and other creatures. He taught that Christmas, and Easter were the holiest days of the year. He threw out G-d’s appointed times and feasts, and replaced them with those two holidays. He liked to have long hair, and teaches prosperity in the forms of talking to our wallets, naming it, and claiming it, and a host of other things the Church says Jesus stands for.
Let’s clarify something, Jesus is not the name of our Saviour. That name has only been around for the past five hundred years. There is no ‘J’ in the Hebrew alphabet. When he was on earth his mother Miryam (Her Hebrew name) named him Yeshua, (His Hebrew name, English: Salvation) Yeshua followed Torah completely, and fulfilled Torah in his life. He followed it perfectly, showing us how it is to be done. When he taught the people he quoted from the Torah, and explained it in greater detail to his listeners. He brought out it’s deep meanings just like salt brings out the flavour of a savoury meal.
In holding fast to the teachings of Torah, in particular, Leviticus chapter 11, Yeshua never ate from a pig, nor did he eat any form of shellfish. Why? Because his word taught us that these creatures were not food. They are scavengers that eat the garbage of the earth, that is what they were created for. Some shellfish are filter feeders like, clams, scallops, quahogs, bar clams, and the like. They clean the toxins out of the ocean and keep it’s waters clean. They are like miniature vacuum cleaners, the question is, would we eat anything from a vacuum cleaner? No.
Jewish people have been taught to avoid pork and shellfish consumption. I wonder what a Jewish person thinks when they see an advertisement for a pig roast at Easter time for a Church gathering. If only for the violation of the Kosher Laws I could see how many Jews would not want to attach themselves to a Church, or Jesus, but there’s more.
Let’s Look at Christmas: This holiday which was promoted by the Roman Catholic Church, and had it’s date chosen in accordance with the birthday of the Roman sun god Mithra, December 25. It was also chosen for this time because of the winter solstice, a pagan celebration. Over the years we have incorporated a jolly fat man who says ho, ho, ho. We lie to our children about him, and wonder why they start to lie as they get older. The very first thing a child is told at Christmastime, when they are old enough to understand, is that Santa Claus is going to bring them gifts. Lies! The whole holiday is steeped in paganism, and deceit. Is this what Jewish people want? To have a celebration based on paganism and lies. Heaven forbid!
Let’s look at Easter: This holiday is supposed to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Sunday, that is why he changed his Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, as it commemorates his rising from the dead. There is a great deal of paganism associated with this holiday. First, the term Easter is derived from the pagan Roman god Ishtar, also known as Eostre who was the goddess of fertility. A rabbit who laid eggs.
Let’s look at something that is usually over looked. Yeshua said he would be in the belly of the earth for three days, and three nights. That is a seventy-two hour time period. If Jesus died on Friday at 3:00 pm then that would mean, Saturday at 3:00 pm, one day, Sunday at 3:00 pm two days, and Monday 3:00 pm three days. Well if Jesus was resurrected on Monday why doesn’t the bible say so. No, Yeshua was crucified on a Wednesday at 3:00 pm, in the grave, Thursday at 3:00 pm, one day, Friday at 3:00 pm, two days, Saturday at 3:00 pm three days. Yeshua rose from the dead on the Sabbath, G-ds day of rest. There were two Sabbaths in the week Yeshua was crucified, the first one was the passover, more commonly known as the last supper, followed by the Saturday Sabbath. The passover was on Tuesday evening, and Yeshua went through the whippings, and beatings on Wednesday. There is no such thing as Good Friday.
Based on this information why would a Jewish person want to celebrate Easter? It is a holiday marked by pagan rituals, and festivals. Can you see now why Jews want nothing to do with Jesus? They know about the paganism that exists in our holidays, and I don’t blame them for not wanting anything to do with them.
Finally, what about G-d’s Holy Days? If Christmas and Easter are out of the picture, then are there any days he wants us to celebrate? I’ve mentioned two already: The Sabbath, or in Hebrew Shabbat, and Passover. If we are really interested in knowing more about his Holy Days we can find them in Leviticus chapter 23. We will be observing these Holy Days perpetually, forever, as most Jews observe them already.
So the question needs to be asked based on the information here, Should a Jewish person become a Christian? I believe the answer is no. They need a relationship with Yeshua, our one and only true Saviour. He never eats anything that is not Kosher, he observes G-d’s Holy days, he observes Shabbat, and rests on it every week, he does not advocate the observance of Christmas, or Easter, and, no, he does not have long hair.

My name is Paul Moore, I am forty eight years old, and have been writing for the past five years. I spent twenty years in Christian Churches stuck in a mediocre lifestyle. I incurred a great deal of hurt while going to Church. I found that many people there were not happy. I left Church about eight years ago, and I’m attending a Messianic Congregation. I surrendered my life to God back in 2005, and in 2006 God brought me out of a deep pit in my life. I am helping God bring people back to himself.
